Timber Hull Division @ 32nd Nationals
The Queensland 125 Association has introduced a new trophy for all those that own a timber hull 125.
This year at the 32nd Nationals we will be awarding a trophy for 1st 2nd and 3rd for timber hull boats.
"Do not worry - we will not be taking core samples" says National Measurer John Anderson.
So roll out the oldies - give them some polish, throw on some new rags, grab your grandchildren for crew.
Now you have something to compete for now - not just make up numbers in the fleet.
If you have any queries, please contact me.

What a great idea!
This is akin to the flying fifteen which has several divisions.
More boats and people on the water the better.
Can you build a new timber boat?
Is this something that will carry through to all future nationals?

Re: Timber Hull Division @ 32nd Nationals
There is every chance that new timber boats are being built now - Qld Assoc provided templates and construction guidelines for a plywood boat to a new builder who wanted to build one for his grand children.

Personally I see no reason why you wouldn't carry the timber hull division onto future nationals. Qld Division recognises that there are many timber boats scattered all over Queensland. There are many up for sale and really reasonable prices.
So this is our way of encouraging them back onto the water, back to having fun with your families and friends in a 125......
It would be up to the other states for future nationals.
