Jib Tracks
Would it be ok instead of using a piece of cord to a saddle to stop the inside of the jib track lifting to use a carbon knee bracket as it is not part of the construction of the hull and buoyancy tanks. Also looking at it as a way of stopping the crew from impaling themselves on the end of the track as well.

Cant see why not....i know there are a few boats around with something similar and it is certainly more appealing to the eye, and as you say less impaling!
suggest discussion with your state measurer about it who will voice any concerns...if any.
