mast rake for 125
I am rigging a 125 for the first time, & have read Jamie Thomson's notes on rig concepts in the association notes. He states that a distance of 6140mm from the black line at the top of the mast, to the transom/ floor is a good starting point.
Could someone tell me if this is a bare masted distance, or is it measured after the mainsail is set & tension is applied to the boom block ?

hi dennis
I think you will find this is a bare masted measurement

Re: mast rake for 125
Hi Dennis

We tend to run around 6180. This is with the rig tension on, and mainsail and boom on. Just lay the boat on its side rigged up and get a measure from the black band to floor/transom.
Jamie ran mid boom sheeting with a traveller and a softer rig setup. We run end boom sheeting but these should give you a starting point.

Cheers
