Spreaders
Could anyone tell me where I could get some new spreaders for my boat? Also what sort of cost is involved.
Thx

Re: Spreaders
Proctor adjustable spreaders can be purchased at most chandleries or direct from Binks in Adelaide...www.binksonline.com.au. They are about $250 a set, quite a lot compared to the mast but there is not a lot of choice these days. That is if you need the whole spreader assembly.
I used to buy an old ronstan fitting and tap a bolt hole in the front of it to adjust my spreader angle with but you can't buy those anymore, unless you can get one off an old mast.
For the spreader arms, you could proper aluminium ones from goldspar or proctor, or buy sme fairly think aluminium ( about 5mm) bar ( or laminate 2 layers of 3mm together) to make some nice cheap simple ones.

Re: Spreaders
Jim scott of formula sailcraft is making sets of adjustable carbon spreaders. Im not sure how much he is charging but he sails 125s and i think he would give you a good deal (probably would also be about 250). his number is 0409151121
